Worship with us
At Lilydale church we havetwo worship services. These vary according to music style and atmosphere. You are most welcome to join us in any of our weekly worship services where we worship our Creator through song, prayer and an uplifting Biblical message.
Early Service
The Early Service begins at 9:00am Sabbath (Saturday) morning. During this service we sing hymns and scriptural songs which reflect our desire to worship and honour God. This service includes a children's story or a musical item as regular features. By nature, this intergenerational service seeks to be inclusive of all age groups while being a quieter and more reflective worship service
Contemporary Service
The Contemporary Service begins at 11:30am Sabbath morning. The music style is more upbeat and the congregation is led in praise and worship songs by a band. This service aims to include music from a variety of contemporary sources, as well as drama, community life events, creative use of Scripture combined with Biblical preaching. This multigenerational service aims to use relevant contemporary culture to express the timeless truths of the gospel. This service is typically attended by youth and their parents who prefer a more lively worship experience.
Everyone is most welcome to attend either of these services, feel free to chose the one at which you feel most comfortable.
Small Group Bible Study
Between the Early and Contemporary services we have a Bible Study and discussion hour beginning at 10:15am. This is locally known as Sabbath School. This is a time when people from all services can discuss important issues concerning God, the Bible and how these relate to us personally. We generally divide into small groups during this time. Sabbath School classes are also available for children of all ages and are properly supervised.
We look forward to worshipping with you!
